Our Signature Fabrics

Atelier Choux fabrics are developed with the same care and attention to detail as each of our illustrations. Created exclusively for our Maison by our eco-certified partner factory in France, our organic cotton blend is designed to offer exceptional softness, breathability and absorbency, while providing the perfect canvas for our signature prints.

This exclusive fabric is used across our carrés, bibs, fitted sheets and cushion covers, bringing a touch of everyday elegance to life with little ones.

Our carrés are crafted from certified GOTS organic cotton, ensuring that the cotton is grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Organic cotton fibers are naturally soft, gentle and well suited to delicate skin. During production, the thickness of each thread is carefully developed according to Atelier Choux specifications, in order to achieve the ideal balance between softness, comfort and durability.

Once woven, the fabric is constructed in two layers of the same cotton, woven together to create the distinctive double-layer finish of our carrés. The fabric is then tested according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I requirements, the strictest category designed for baby products, certifying that it is free from harmful substances.

Printing is the final step. It is carried out at a nearby specialist facility using ecological methods. Our water-based, baby-safe inks are applied to the double-layer fabric and set through an air-drying process. While our inks are gentle and water-based, they are also designed to preserve the beauty of the prints over time, even with regular washing.

The result is an ultra-soft, gentle, absorbent everyday essential that is created to accompany family life; in accordance with our ambition to unite art, artisanship and everyday elegance.

Protect your child's delicate skin

As parents of our own petits choux, we are especially attentive to the materials used in every Atelier Choux creation.

A baby’s skin is 5 times thinner than an adult’s and therefore more absorbent. For this reason, we begin with a pure organic cotton canvas, one that has never been in contact with pesticides or harmful chemicals.

The chemicals generally used in fabric manufacturing (from bleaching to dyeing and finishing, etc.) are housed in the heart of the fabric’s fiber but are never mentioned on the labels. In addition, regulations and controls regarding these chemicals can vary greatly depending on their country of production.
