The Story Behind Our PrintsUpdated 4 days ago
About Mattias Adolfsson
Atelier Choux is privileged to collaborate with acclaimed Swedish illustrator Mattias Adolfsson, whose whimsical landscapes and intricate worlds are admired by over one million followers across social media.
From his studio in Sigtuna, overlooking Lake Mälaren near Stockholm, Mattias fills his Moleskine pages with kind robots, gentle animals and elaborate architecture — often in soft pastels, always with a touch of humor and fantasy.
His book The Second in Line was awarded Most Beautiful Swedish Book of the Year in 2014. He has also collaborated with renowned names including The New York Times, Wired, The New Yorker, Disney and Nickelodeon.
As longtime admirers of his work, our founders dreamed of seeing Mattias’ enchanting illustrations on their own son’s nursery walls, bedding and clothing. From that dream, Atelier Choux was born: a world of poetic, story-filled prints, imagined from floor to ceiling and created to bring wonder into everyday family life.
